About CoolHouse Co.

We do two things.
We do them well.

CoolHouse Co. is a home-comfort company for warm-weather living. We install whole house fans and exterior solar screens — and nothing else.

Why we started CoolHouse Co.

Most California homeowners dealing with high summer power bills and uncomfortable rooms are told the same thing: upgrade your AC, add more insulation, or just live with it.

The problem with that advice is that it addresses the wrong layer of the problem. California homes — especially those built in the 1970s through 1990s — don't have a cooling equipment problem. They have an airflow problem and a solar heat gain problem. Two specific, solvable problems that most HVAC companies aren't set up to address.

A whole house fan fixes the airflow problem. Exterior solar screens fix the solar heat gain problem. Both are proven technologies. Both can be installed in a day. Both pay back their cost within a few summers. And for most California homeowners, the combination makes a bigger difference than any other single home improvement they could make.

That's the business we built. Not a jack-of-all-trades contractor. Not a national franchise with a call center. A company that specializes in exactly these two things and does them with craft, transparency, and honest recommendations.

How we work

We don't sell. We assess.

Every homeowner relationship starts with a free in-home visit. We walk your home, look at your sun exposure and floor plan, ask about your specific comfort problems, and give you a written recommendation. We tell you honestly whether our products are the right fit for your situation — even if that means telling you something else will serve you better.

We specialize.

We install two products: QuietCool and AirScape whole house fans, and exterior solar screens. That's it. Our crews know these products deeply. Our sizing and installation quality reflects years of focused experience — not a company trying to sell you whatever's in stock.

We're transparent about pricing.

You get a written, itemized quote before any work begins. No verbal estimates that expand on installation day. No upselling to products you didn't ask for. No leaving a closer behind after the assessment.

We back our work.

We warranty our workmanship and stand behind the equipment we install. Problems are rare, but when they happen, we show up and fix them.

The team

Real people, real installs, real California neighborhoods. Crew bios and headshots are added here as the team grows.

Founder / Lead Installer

Brian Quadrini has 35+ years in California residential construction — framing, finish carpentry, superintendent with Warmington Homes, a decade overseeing high-end projects with Dividend Homes, and licensed General Contractor since 2005. He started CoolHouse Co. after installing a whole house fan in his own home and experiencing firsthand how dramatically it changed summer comfort. Now he brings the same precision he applied to custom homes to every cooling installation — and personally leads every assessment in the San Jose and Morgan Hill area.

Install Lead

Handles fan sizing, attic ventilation checks, and installation on most South Bay jobs. Knows the ceiling layouts of every common 1970s–1990s floor plan in the region.

Customer Care

Manages estimates, scheduling, and post-install follow-up. Makes sure every homeowner leaves the assessment with a written quote and a clear answer — even if that answer is 'not yet.'

Where we work

CoolHouse Co. serves homeowners across the San Jose and Morgan Hill areas, with select availability in surrounding South Bay communities. These markets are an especially strong fit for whole house fans and solar screens — the day-to-night temperature swing, afternoon sun exposure, and typical California floor plans that hold heat upstairs create exactly the conditions where both products deliver their best results.

If you're nearby, reach out. Tell us where you are — we review every request and will let you know quickly whether we can schedule an assessment in your area.

CoolHouse Co. is being built as a scalable California home-comfort brand. As we expand, we'll continue adding local installation teams in markets where homeowners need smarter ways to stay cool without relying on the AC all day.

What we believe

Homeowners deserve honest information.

The home services industry has a long tradition of high-pressure sales visits and inflated quotes. We deliberately built something different. Our assessments are genuinely informational. Our quotes are written and transparent. We'd rather lose a job than oversell a homeowner on something that won't deliver.

Specialization produces better results.

Every company that tries to be everything to every homeowner ends up being mediocre at most of it. We chose two products, learned them deeply, and built every part of our operation around them. Our customers feel the difference.

Local knowledge matters.

California homes vary enormously by region — different climates, home styles, permit requirements, utility rate structures. We serve specific markets deeply rather than expanding thin. When you work with a CoolHouse Co. installer, they know your area's housing stock, your utility's rate structure, and your neighborhood's typical comfort problems.
